❶ Access to Norikura Plateau and Mt. Norikura and advance preparations

*Due to the effects of the heavy rains in August 2021, replacement bus services were provided on the Alpico Kotsu Kamikochi Line between Matsumoto and Shinmura, but the entire line was restored on June 10, 2022.

Access to Norikura Plateau

Take the Spring Mountain Bus, which runs from late April to the end of June, to the Snow Corridor and spring skiing.

❷ About Norikura's flowers, plants, and autumn leaves

Norikura is a treasure trove of flowers that captivates plant lovers. The blossoming of flowers heralds the arrival of the new season and is a source of joy. In the tranquil surroundings of Norikura, we recommend trekking to fully enjoy the comfort of fresh greenery. In summer, as you ascend to the alpine zone, you will encounter delicate, delicate, and robust alpine plants. In autumn, you cannot miss the never-before-seen color spread of the autumn leaves.

You can enjoy them in various locations on the plateau from late April to early May.

From mid-July to mid-August, you can enjoy the flower fields in the sky by climbing up to Tatamidaira, which is 2,700 meters above sea level.

3. I want to go to Mt. Norikura (mountain climbing/cycling)

Mount Norikura (main peak: Kengamine, 3,026m), designated as one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains, can be climbed using the mountain trails that continue from the plateau, or you can easily take on the challenge by bus. Norikura is also a mecca for cyclists, and the Mount Norikura Hill Climb, which involves cycling to Tatamidaira, is also popular.
