The vast area of Mt. Norikura offers a wide range of ski fields that attract skiers and winter climbers. If you climb the tour course from the top of the ski resort, you can enjoy a spectacular descent of 3,000m to 1,500m, and even stay overnight at Igahara Mountain Lodge, which is open in winter. Even within the plateau, there are ways to enjoy yourself to suit all levels, such as viewing frozen waterfalls and forest walks. Head out on a variety of courses on snowshoes or cross-country skis.
*Any activities outside the ski resort area are at your own risk. In particular, when entering the summit area, please be sure to be fully equipped and skilled enough for mountain climbing in the harsh winter.
