Notice of partial road closure around Ushidome Pond (early September 2026 onwards)

Due to replacement work on the aging wooden walkway, the nature trails around Ushidome Pond will be closed for an extended period.

Road closure period: Early September 2026 to around autumn 2027

Please refer to the map above when strolling around Ushidome Pond. The twisted tree is open for viewing.

It is not possible to pass through the primeval forest trail to Ushidome Pond. To get from the Little Squirrel Trail/Todai Hut entrance towards Kyukamura/Ichinose Grassland/Zengoro Falls, please detour via Prefectural Road 84. Please be careful when walking on the prefectural road as it is a road for vehicles.
