Announcing the crowdfunding project for "Tomarigi no Ie" (House of Perching), which aims to pass on the beloved scenery and lifestyle of Norikura to the future.

Norikura Plateau is a popular tourist destination loved by many.
Did you know that there are actually about 600 residents living at the foot of Mount Norikura, and that there is an elementary and junior high school attended by 27 children?

Norikura offers beauty in every season, but unlike in the city, it's not a place where "someone will take care of things if you leave it alone."

Community activities such as maintaining the hiking trails on Mount Norikura, protecting the landscape of Ichinose Grassland, and eradicating invasive species—this beautiful nature and environment that we love so much has been carefully protected and nurtured by local residents for a long time.

However, Norikura Plateau is now also experiencing a declining birthrate and an aging population, resulting in a continued population decrease. If this continues, the rich natural environment and community of Norikura, which have been maintained through the collective efforts of the entire region, may not be able to be preserved for the future... We are facing such a major crisis.

■ To overcome the challenge of "wanting to live somewhere but being unable to"

Driven by the desire to preserve the beloved lifestyle of Norikura for future generations, the local residents' self-governing organization, "Onogawa-ku," has been working to promote migration and settlement, including accepting students into the "Matsumoto Dual School" program in cooperation with Matsumoto City and elementary and junior high schools.

Amidst the growing interest in relocating, a major obstacle has been the issue of "housing."

Although there are vacant houses scattered throughout the area, most of them are large buildings such as former guesthouses, and there are hardly any rental properties that are immediately suitable for families to live in. Many people who genuinely want to move to Norikura end up giving up because they cannot find a place to live.

Therefore, our local self-governing organization, "Onogawa-ku," has launched a project to revitalize vacant houses lying dormant in the area with the help of all local residents, creating temporary housing called "Tomarigi no Ie" (Perching Houses) where families hoping to relocate can live for six months to two years, connect with the community, and find their next permanent residence or job.

In this project, everyone in the community will work together to renovate vacant houses using a DIY approach.
The funds you have generously provided will be used to create safe and secure housing for families who wish to relocate.

This is the first step in a community-wide effort to pass on Norikura's beautiful nature and history to future generations.

We would greatly appreciate your warm support and cooperation.

This project is a "hometown tax donation type crowdfunding" project utilizing the "Hometown Entrepreneur Support Subsidy."
Your donation is tax-deductible by your local government (if you meet the conditions), and you can support us with a net cost of as little as 2,000 yen.
To everyone who has made a donation from Norikura Kogen (Onogawa area), we have prepared a gift as a token of our gratitude.
*This service is available not only to those living outside of Matsumoto City, but also to those residing within Matsumoto City.

<Things I want to achieve>
We want to eliminate the situation where people want to live somewhere but can't.

More and more families are saying they want to live in Norikura, but there are no rental properties available in the area, so they end up giving up and going back home... This is a real mismatch.

To solve this problem, we will renovate vacant houses lying dormant in the community ourselves and create temporary housing called "Perching Houses" where people can settle down and live for six months to two years!
To pass on the beloved scenery and lifestyle of Norikura to the next generation.
We sincerely look forward to your warm support and encouragement!
