Directions from the Daisekkei/Kata-no-Koya-guchi bus stop to the summit of Mt. Norikura (Kengamine), Tatamidaira, and the flower fields.

The climb to the summit of Mt. Norikura (Kengamine) involves ascending the Daisekkei (Great Snow Valley) from the Daisekkei/Kata-no-Koya bus stop, passing through Kata-no-Koya hut, with a course time of 1 hour and 30 minutes one way and an elevation difference of approximately 400m.

There is still snow remaining on the Daisekkei (Great Snow Valley), and some sections will require walking on snow. Snow conditions may change depending on the weather, so those unfamiliar with the terrain should bring trekking poles or chain spikes to prevent slipping.

The starting point is on the right side of the large snowfield, and there is no snow at the beginning of the climb, but it becomes covered in snow partway up.
Please proceed to the left of the rock called Mogul Rock in the photo below.
If you go up to the right of Mogul Rock, there is no path.

You can also reach Tatamidaira and the flower fields via the Daisekkei (Great Snow Valley). The one-way course time is approximately 60 minutes.

(Course times are approximate and may vary depending on the individual.)
