Fiscal year 2026Shuttle bus to Norikura-dake Tatamihira (The Norikura Echo Line will begin operations on July 1st.
Starting from Norikura Kogen Tourist Center at an altitude of approximately 1460m, the journey takesApproximately 55 minutesWe will then arrive at the bus stop at the summit of Mt. Norikura (Tatami-daira), which is at an altitude of 2700m.

Normally, the world above the clouds can be reached after a climb that lasts for several hours.
This is a unique experience in Japan that can be easily accessed by bus.

July, right after the bus service begins, is the time when flowers are in full bloom.
There is a flower field where you can stroll around, located about a 5-minute walk from the Tatamihira bus stop.

Climbing Mt. Norikura

The highest point of Mt. Norikura, Kengamine, is approximately [number missing] meters from Tatamidaira.1 hour 30 minutes。Elevation 3026mEnjoy the spectacular view from here.

The trail to Kengamine is very easy to walk compared to other hiking trails in the Northern Alps, but there are some slippery sections with rocks and gravel, so please wear comfortable walking shoes.

Alternatively, you can hike mountains such as Maōdake (about a 15-minute walk from Tatamidaira), Daikokudake (about a 20-minute walk from Tatamidaira), and Fujimidake (about a 25-minute walk from Tatamidaira) without having to go all the way to Kengamine. Please consider these options based on your physical condition and the amount of time you have available.

From the Matsumoto Interchange on the Nagano Expressway, head towards Takayama on National Route 158 for approximately 30 km (about 45 minutes), then turn left at the Maekawado intersection.
The tourist center parking lot is approximately 9.5 km (15 minutes) away along Prefectural Road 84.
