How to make egg coffee

Hello everyone! This is Azumi.
We are bringing you "Norikura at Home VOL.7"!
Self-restraint measures are gradually being relaxed, and Norikura Kogen is taking measures to open its facilities so that it can welcome visitors from June.

At the same time, "Norikura at Home" will continue to evolve every day, and both I, the navigator, and the production team will do our best to make it enjoyable for everyone who watches!

Well, in the seventh installment, we bring you "Setsu and Hana's Coffee Ideas: How to Make Egg Coffee." Have you heard of egg coffee? I usually drink a lot of black coffee, but when I discovered egg coffee, I discovered a new way to enjoy coffee.

I visited the home of Hana and her husband Settsu, who appeared in "Norikura at Home VOL.1 - How to Make Adzuki Bean Scones", to learn a unique coffee recipe!

Setsu and Hana love coffee! Their love for coffee led them to start a coffee roasting business called "Norikura Pioneer Rosters."
This business is more important than just selling products, and we are devoting our efforts to it with deep, warm feelings.
Listening to their stories about coffee, Norikura Plateau, and connections with people made me love drinking coffee even more.

First, check out this video on how to make egg coffee!

About Norikura Pioneer Rosters

Norikura Pioneer Rosters is run by Setsu and Hana. During the coffee break in the video, the two of them talk about a phrase that they hold very dear.

"Leave it better than you found it"

"Let's make it better than what we see today."

"PERSONAL"...valuing individuals and valuing the connections between individuals.
"FRESH"... Freshly roasted coffee, regularly, every week.
"SIMPLE"... Based on simplicity, including packaging.

Setsu and Hana's motto was born from their coffee business, but they said they believe it actually has implications for life, not just coffee. "We would be very happy if people could start their day feeling fresh by drinking coffee made from beans roasted in the fresh air of Norikura Highlands." "By cherishing the connections between people, we can spend each day feeling fresh, and by simplifying our lifestyle as much as possible, we can create a rich life." I agree. I've been thinking about this deeply, especially since the coronavirus outbreak.

"We don't just sell coffee beans. Everyone is a pioneer and has the power to create. We want to be a catalyst for bringing that out."

Coffee roasted by Norikura Pioneer Rosters can be enjoyed at the following stores. If you are visiting Norikura Kogen, be sure to enjoy some freshly roasted coffee!

There is a wonderful meaning behind the selection of coffee beans they roast. They choose fair trade beans, which means that by purchasing the beans, they are supporting someone's livelihood beyond borders.
TheyPARCiCThey purchase and roast coffee beans from an NGO called PARCiC. By purchasing coffee beans grown in the Maubesi district of East Timor, they support the livelihoods of the people who live in Maubesi through fair trade. Maubesi is located at the same altitude as Norikura Highlands. Coffee beans grown with love in an environment that somewhat resembles the scenery of Norikura Highlands are roasted in the clear air of Norikura Highlands. Just imagining such a view makes the coffee taste even better and adds a warm feeling. Just knowing where, who, and how the beans are grown makes each and every bean even more precious. PARCiC is involved in wonderful activities that connect the world and people to each other, such as fair trade not only in East Timor but in several other countries, and support for disaster victims in Japan, so if you're interested, please check out their website (www.parcic.org) Please check it out.

Coffee is loved all over the world. The feelings of Setsu and Hana that are put into that cup of coffee branch out into many branches, overflowing with love and with the strong hope that many flowers will bloom, eventually turning into fruit and seeds that will spread.

That's the picture that came to my mind ♪
There is a website that goes into more detail about their feelings, so please check it out.HerePlease also see:

What did you think? This was my first time trying egg coffee, and I highly recommend it for anyone with a sweet tooth! It's very rich, almost like a dessert. It has a rich flavor that reminds me of pudding or tiramisu. Black coffee is good, but it's also fun to try making coffees with different international flavors!
After all, coffee time with your best friends, partner, family, or colleagues is something special.

Thank you! See you again soon!
