NORIKURA TIMES (Norikura's unique spring version)

At this time of year, you can enjoy a slightly different spring experience at Norikura Highlands. It's a special time when you can discover new things. Please come and visit Norikura Highlands.

① Why not try some wild vegetables picked in Norikura?

With the arrival of spring, Norikura Plateau is in season for an abundance of wild vegetables. Aralia sprouts, kogomi, and koshiabura are all abundantly harvested, and you can enjoy their fresh flavors at inns and restaurants. Wild vegetables are a seasonal delicacy that can only be enjoyed at this time of year, and locals offer dishes that make the most of the natural flavors of these ingredients. The wild vegetables, grown in the pure air of Norikura Plateau and the bounty of the mountains, are exquisite in their freshness and flavor. Dishes made with local ingredients are a luxurious experience that allows you to experience the sense of the seasons and local flavors. Be sure to enjoy Norikura's delicious wild vegetable cuisine during this time of year.

② Mt. Norikura Spring Mountain Bus now in operation!

The Mt. Norikura Spring Mountain Bus continues to operate. Until May, it will run only to Igahara Sanso, where you can see snow walls of about 5 meters. You can also go further from Igahara Sanso to enjoy mountain climbing. Mt. Norikura is a 3,000-meter-high mountain, so if the weather suddenly changes, it will become like a winter mountain. Please note that when engaging in activities such as mountain climbing, you will need appropriate snow mountain equipment.

Additionally, service between Igahara Sanso and Oyukikei/Kata no Koyaguchi is scheduled to begin in late May (subject to road snow removal). From July 1st, a shuttle bus to the summit of Mt. Norikura (Tatami-daira) will also be in operation. For details, please see here:
